GORDON GREENIDGE

Gordon Greenidge made his ODI debut on that very World Cup against Pakistan. However, he got out very cheaply scoring only four runs. Although he didn’t score enough runs, Greenidge showed signs that he belongs to this place.
Eventually, he went on to become one of the most destructive batsmen of his generation. In 128 ODIs he has played Gordon Greenidge has scored runs at an average of over 45 and was a nightmare for every bowler.
Following his retirement, Greenidge decided to pursue a coaching career and became the coach of the Bangladeshi national cricket team in 1996. He had a successful stint with the side which also earned him citizenship of Bangladesh. He also served as the selector of Windies team along with teammate Viv Richards.
