Bangladesh was able to bounce back.

The Tiger’s wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim got promoted up the order. However, the move didn’t reap fruits, as Rahim was sent back by Ashley Nurse for just four runs.

Thus, a partnership was the need of the hour for Bangladesh especially after Soumya Sarkar also got dismissed cheaply.

In fact, Bangladesh’s most experienced pair of Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan was at the crease. Consequently, the southpaw alliance was able to put 90 runs on the board.

On the other hand, Ashley Nurse continued his good form, as he took two wickets. Furthermore, Nurse also didn’t the visitors off the hook, as he gave only 25 runs in his four overs quota.

Windies also didn’t have the best of start, as they lost their combative southpaw batsman Evin Lewis in the second over. Andre Fletcher scored 43 runs off 38 balls. Thus, he failed to get going, as the hosts kept losing wickets at regular intervals. No middle-order batsman was able to get settled.

Therefore, the Windies chase was always in a rocking boat. Rovman Powell also scored a fighting 43 but Windies were always behind the eight ball. Bangladesh spinner Nazmul Islam scalped three wickets.
