Windies vs Bangladesh, 2nd T20I, Florida – Preview
Windies will lock horns with Bangladesh in the second T20I at Florida. The hosts have a 1-0 lead and would like to seal the series. In fact, there is no doubt that the Windies are a force to reckon with in the shortest format even without the services of Chris Gayle.
On the other hand, Bangladesh will like to stay alive in the series. Shakib Al Hasan-led team had put on a poor performance with the bat and they had to pay the price in the first match. They lost two quick wickets in the very first over and the rebuilding phase was always going to be an uphill task.
Meanwhile, Kesrick Williams was the pick of the Windies bowlers as the seamer took four wickets to dent the tourists batting line-up. Keemo Paul and Ashley Nurse were able to take two wickets. However, it was surprising to note the Nurse bowled only one over after taking two wickets in his first over.
On the other hand, Andre Russell was able to provide the finishing touches in the rain-truncated match. The veteran Windies batsman Marlon Samuels was also able to play a handy knock to help his side in chasing down the shortened target of 91 runs.
Bangladesh will like to deliver a better batting performance. The right-hander Mahmudullah was the leading run-getter for them with 35 runs. However, the visitors will want a better application from the top order batsmen.
