The Eoin Morgan-led team turned upside down, as they overhaul India’s target of 148 runs. Batting first, India went to class to 150-run mark thanks to Virat Kohli and Dhoni.

Although he started a bit slow, MSD picked the gear at the right time to finish on a high. He remained unbeaten on 32 runs off 24 deliveries including five boundaries. However, a brilliant knock from Alex Hales ensured England level back the series 1-1.

The maestro also achieved the feat of playing 500 international games after Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. Dhoni made his India debut back in 2004 in an ODI against Bangladesh and went on to play 500 matches since then.
