After 2015 World Cup debacle, the responsibility was on Morgan to be the leader and regroup the team. Selectors took some difficult decisions, backed Jason Roy and in Word Cup, the team reaped fruits of the efforts that they had made. England were crowned as the champions of World Cup 2019, ending a drought of 44 years. It was after 27 years that England were playing the final of the tournament.
