The Men in Green had a disappointing run in the tournament and the team did not show the desire to make it to the finals. Just like the West Indies, individual performances came from this team but the team could never perform as a unit, that cost Pakistan. The defeat against West Indies hurt them the most as the NRR of Pakistan took a hit, that had a great impact later in the tournament.
