Not many exected Sri Lanka to be the favourites and them coming up with below-par performances wasn’t a surprise. Although two of their matches were washed out and had those matches not been washed out, things could have been different but that’s all in the hindsight. Sri Lanka finished the league stage as the sixth-placed team in the points table with three wins.
