Coming into Super 10 stage after a devastating batting show against Ireland, Netherlands fell apart as they recorded the lowest total in T20 Internationals.
After been put into bat Netherland started to crumble the records with poor batting. They were down to 1/3 with last match hero Myburgh going for duck in first over and followed by Swart and Barresi in next over. Netherland equalled the 2nd lowest score on losing 3rd wicket. Borren too fell for duck as they were reduced to 9/4. Highest partnership of their innings was between Copper brothers who put on 16 for 5th wicket before the inning’s second highest scored Ben Cooper was run-out for 8. Tom Copper scored 16, double than his brother the top scorer of the innings and left the team at 33 with 6 down. Later Mendis and Malinga finished the innings picking up last 4 wickets in span of 7 balls. Netherlands were bowled out for 39 the least score in T20Is and 2nd least in T20 format after Tripura’s 30 against Jharkhand. Their innings also included 4 duck outs and Extras were the 3rd highest of the Copper brother with 6 runs.
