India’s Test wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha has equaled MS Dhoni’s record. Saha completed 100 dismissals in the Test format in 35 Test matches. Former skipper MS Dhoni had also completed 100 dismissals in 35 Test matches. Mahmudullah’s catch was the 100th dismissal for Saha.

Wriddhiman Saha took a one-handed blinder to dismiss Mahmudullah. India’s veteran pacer Ishant Sharma was able to produce the outside edge of the right-hander and Saha dived to his right to take a brilliant catch.

Saha has been brilliant.

Subsequently, Saha took a simple catch to dismiss Bangladesh opener, Shadman Islam. Thus, Saha now has 101 dismissals to his name. Out of these 101 dismissals, Saha has grabbed 90 catches and 11 stumpings. In fact, Saha is not only the best wicket-keeper in India but also in the world.

The pink ball has moved a mile and it has been a tough day for Saha. However, the wicket-keeper has been brilliant behind the stumps. Saha has caught almost everything that has come his way.

On the other hand, former Indian keeper Kiran More completed 100 dismissals in 39 Test matches. Former gloveman Nayan Mongia took 100 dismissals in 41 Test matches whereas Syed Kirmani completed 100 dismissals in 42 Test matches.

Meanwhile, India has put their noses in front. Bangladesh is tottering at 103-8 after their skipper Mominul Haque won the toss and elected to bat first.

Umesh Yadav has taken three wickets whereas Mohammed Shami has taken one wicket. Ishant Sharma has been the pick of the bowlers as he has taken four wickets. On the other hand, Liton Das has been substituted by Mehidy Hasan after the former was hit on the head by Mohammed Shami before the Lunch break.

The Indian pacers have been right on the money and they would like to continue their domination against Bangladesh. Meanwhile, India had won the first Test by an innings and 135 runs.
