Australian all-rounder Cameron Green has talked about the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli ahead of the much-anticipated World Test Championship final against Australia starting on June 7 at the Oval. The 24-year-old played a pivotal role in Australia’s campaign for their team’s qualification for the final in England.
India will compete in their second straight WTC final, this time taking on Australia in search of their first ICC trophy since winning the Champions Trophy in 2013 under MS Dhoni, as the Pat Cummins-led side will also look for their first ICC title in test cricket.
Speaking on ICC, Cameron Green hailed his Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma for his calmness on the field and expressed his gratitude to play under him the five-times champions in the cash-rich league, and said that the Indian skipper guided him on how to go about things in the game, playing the aggressive role for his team in the middle overs.
“The calmness he has out in the middle is so evident, He’s obviously been there and done that for 10 years. To be out there with him and just talk through a situation was awesome,” Green added.

“My role was trying to be aggressive and then he obviously showed ways to go about it, whether it was attacking spin, attacking pace, kind of picking your bowler in a way,” Cameron Green said.
Cameron Green has been touted to be the next big thing in International Cricket with his ability to contribute in all three formats and is expected to play a vital role for his side in their maiden World Test Championship final against India in the Oval.
A World Test Championship Is A Massive Moment, So I Look Forward To That – Cameron Green
Cameron Green believes that Star Indian batter Virat Kohli is the man for the bigger moments as he will try to put a match-winning performance in the historic final to help his side win their long-awaited ICC trophy in the WTC final 2023.
“Virat Kohli. I think he always tries to be the man to stand up in big moments, A World Test Championship is obviously a massive moment, so I look forward to that”.

Green Spoke highly regarding red-ball cricket, as the intensity in the field is unmatched in other formats of the game, and admitted that the nerves are running high ahead of the final and reckons that the best players would try to put their hands in tough situations for their teams.
“There is nothing like Test cricket when you’re kind of out in the middle, Obviously your nerves are running high. I think the best players are the best ones that can handle that,” Cameron Green added.
Cameron Green will most likely play as the 4th pacer in the team and the Australian pacers would be crucial for their success in England conditions as they would have some help from the pitches and their better experiences in the country would give them a slight edge coming into the high-octane clash against India.
