Yograj Singh Trained His Guns At MS Dhoni, Once Again!
Former India pacer and father of flamboyant all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has once again trained his guns at MS Dhoni. Yograj has openly stated that his son, is back into India’s scheme of things in the ODI squad only due to the fact that Dhoni is no longer the captain. Yograj admits that due to Dhoni’s captaincy, his son couldn’t get a fair chance in the squad.
The yesteryear pacer is well known for his comments against Dhoni, which he made a couple of years ago. In that interview just after ICC World Cup 2015, Yograj had come down scathing on Dhoni for his attitude towards the senior players, and mainly against Yuvraj Singh. Yograj had gone on to severely criticise Dhoni for not selecting Yuvraj.
Recently, Yograj spoke with Maharashtra Times and opened up on his son’s inclusion in the ODI side. “Yuvraj is in the team because Dhoni is no longer the captain. I had said this couple of years ago that he would be back in the team once Dhoni wasn’t the captain. It’s proved true now,” said a stern Yograj.
Yuvraj however, was much relaxed and charged up to bat alongside a less burdened MS Dhoni in the upcoming games. “I think he took a very good decision stepping down because I’m sure he felt that it’s time for the next guy to take over before the World Cup and I’m sure he saw that in Virat.”
“He has a lot to contribute as a player in the team. I think he’s gonna play the way he used to. We were both very fearless when we used to play together, so hopefully we can do the same in the upcoming series,” said Yuvraj.
