Flat wickets, high scores and pacers struggling on most days is expected to be the story of World Cup 2019 but Pakistan pacer Hassan Ali is unperturbed with all this. As per him, he is not worried about all this and has opined that all that a team has to do to win matches is to take wickets.
“The way modern cricket is going, every bowler needs to know that taking wickets is the key. You take wickets and you win matches,” he said while suggesting a simple method to win matches.

England, in past few years, has not been the best of the venues for the bowlers as flat wickets have seen them go for runs on occasions. It is evident from the fact that England cricket team tops the list of most scores of 300+ in past few years and bowlers will have tough task during the World Cup.

Given that Pakistan failed to even a single ODI in the five-match ODI series in England recently, the pressure will be on Men in Green and it will a tough test for their bowlers in the tournament.
Keeping the conditions in mind, Pakistan recalled an underperforming Mohammed Amir and experienced Wabab Riaz in the squad for the tournament and it will be interesting to see if the addition of the duo does well to the team.

Hassan Ali will also have a crucial role to play in the tournament. The right-arm pacer will like to emulate his performance of ICC Champions Trophy 2017, where he topped the list of most wickets in the tournament with 13 scalps. The tournament was played in England during the month of June.

The conditions will be supportive to bowlers during World Cup as well in the early part of the game but as the matches will progress, batsmen are expected to get the favour out of the tracks. World Cup 2019 kicks off today with England taking on South Africa in the tournament opener.
Pakistan start their campaign against West Indies on May 31. The Sarfaraz Ahmed-led side has not had an ideal preparation for the tournament and add to it a defeat against Afghanistan, where the minnows upset the one-time champions in the warm-up contest. Pakistan ‘s second warm-up game against Bangladesh was a washout affair.
