Yusuf Pathan eyes return to national team through IPL 1

Yusuf had successfully been part of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) over the past seven seasons. He played his hand in their two IPL triumphs.

Having won three IPL trophies already, Yusuf is very optimistic about his new franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

“I am very positive about the new season and looking forward to be a part of the Sunrisers camp where I will get the guidance of legendary players like VVS Laxman, Tom Moody and (Muttiah) Muralitharan. It will be a great learning experience for me,” he said.

The men from the south had lost David Warner last week. They named New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson as their captain for the new season. India’s spearhead Bhuvneshwar Kumar will once again lead the bowling attack.

Speaking about the team, Yusuf Pathan said:

“SRH have Manish and Saha in the side, and it will be a great advantage for us. My objective will be to strengthen the side’s firepower which already has important pillars like Dhawan, Rashid Khan, Bhuvi.”

They are a very well balanced side and got all the bases covered. With Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan and Siddarth Kaul they have excellent bowlers.

The likes of Shakib Al Hasan, Yusuf Pathan, and Deepak Hooda can always chip in with overs.

The top order contains Kane Williamson, Shikhar Dhawan, and Manish Pandey which makes them exciting to watch.
