It has been more than 10 days since Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh and Bollywood actor Hazel Keech tied the knot and their marriage has continued to be among the topics being discussed. In a recent interview, Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj singh expressed his pain about his son’s marriage. Yograj had refused to attend his son’s marriage as the wedding was scheduled to take place at a Gurudwara in presence of a religious guru, whom he did not believe in. Apart from the wedding which was held in Chandigarh, Yograj Singh was a part of all rituals of the marriage.
The fact that the marriage took place in the presence of a religious guru did not go down well with the former cricketer. He felt shocked by the fact that people who are educated also seek the help of these religious gurus who, according to him, are not trustworthy. He also added he does not believe in any religious Guru but god. Yograj further argued the knowledge books give us cannot be provided by any religious guru. According to Yuvraj’s father, these saints are nothing but fake people, who cheat the mankind on the name of religion and asked people to devote their heart to god.
Yograj quoted: “I was the one who pushed him to play cricket and take it up as a profession. I have only one thing to ask him: Have these saints taught him to play the game?
“I do not know why Yuvraj always says it is because of these saints he is playing cricket as it is me who has supported him all the way to play.”
