Yuvraj Singh Gets His First Statue In Ferozepur

Cricket is the religion in the biggest cricket-loving country – India. Here the players are worshipped as God. Fan army is always ready to support their favourites and can do anything to show love. Similarly, the former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has got his first statue outside the Ferozepur District Cricket Association’s Ground. On the occasion of New Year’s day, a local politician unveiled the statue.

Yuvraj Singh is not the first to get a life-size statue. In 2013, a statue of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar was also unveiled in Bihar. Since then, the popular six-hitter Yuvraj Singh got the statue.
Yuvraj Singh’s contributions to the two ICC tournaments are unforgettable. Nobody can forget the moment when he struck six sixes in an over against England during the Super Eight stage of the ICC World T20 2007. It was the over of English pacer Stuart Broad, and the angry Yuvraj struck sixes in six balls. That moment is unforgettable in the cricket world, and till now nobody is able to break the record of his fastest T20 international half-century in just 12 balls. The southpaw will always be remembered for delivering on the big occasion whenever India needed him.
He had to also go through a big break in his career. He was discovered with cancer, but the strong cricketer defeated his disease and made a comeback in the game of cricket.
He also shocked by his decision of retirement when the Indian team was busy playing the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Yuvraj announced his retirement after during India’s journey in that tournament.
Now, the former Indian cricketer plays the franchise league T10 Abu Dhabi League and Global T20 Canada. He will also be not the part of Indian Premier League 2020.
