Chris Gayle hit a 12 ball half century against Adelaide Strikers at Dockland Stadium in Melbourne. He equaled the record of Yuvraj Singh. But, Yuvraj Singh is not happy as Gayle failed to break his record of fastest half-century against England in 2007 inaugural World T20 in South Africa.
Yuvraj Singh tweeted that Gayle should score next fifty in 10 balls to break his 12 balls half century record. Yuvraj has hit six sixes against Stuart Broad to complete his milestone which has been yet to be broken by any batsman. In his tweet Yuvraj said, he will love if either Gayle or AB de Villiers break his record.
I’m disappointed @henrygayle who got to fifty in 12 balls Kaka make sure u get it in ten balls next time or maybe @ABdeVilliers17 legends

Yuvraj in the 2007 World T20 played a big role to make India champion.
West Indies batsman Chris Gayle smashed fifty from 12 balls for the Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League on Monday to match India’s Yuvraj Singh’s record for the fastest half-century in Twenty20 cricket. Gayle hit seven six and two fours in his 56 runs innings.
Left-hander Yuvraj achieved the feat against England in a group match at the inaugural World Twenty20 in 2007 in South Africa, smashing fast bowler Stuart Broad for six sixes in one over.
Opening batsman Gayle plundered 21-year-old Adelaide Strikers bowler Greg West, playing his second T20 match, for 27 runs in the first over and hit the last four deliveries for six.
His seventh maximum took Gayle past his half-century as he deposited spinner Travis Head over the long-on boundary.
Head dismissed him five deliveries later for a 17-ball 56 with Gayle caught by wicketkeeper Tim Ludeman from a top edge.
However, Gayle’s innings has gone in vain as Adelaide Strikers have won the match by 27 runs.
Gayle is known is one of the great entertainers in T20 cricket for his explosive batting style.
Recently he got indulged in off-field controversy when he asked Channel Ten female journalist Mel McLaughlin “don’t blush baby” after Mel refused to response his offer for a post-match drink. His on-air phrase has not gone well among the cricket fans and his franchise Melbourne Renegades and Cricket Australia. Renegades imposed $10000 fine for Gayle inappropriate comment.
