India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh visited the St Jude India Childcare Centre ahead of Christmas much to the joy of the cancer-affected children in the institute. The southpaw spent some quality time with children in an interactive session followed by special gifts from his fashion label YWC.
The children absolutely loved the cricketers company and rejoiced each and every moment spent with the superstar. They also said they will cherish these memories throughout their lives.
Yuvraj, who himself won a battle against cancer five years ago quoted: “While we all rejoice this festive season, let us remember to also give back in our own little way. My biggest aim in life is to support cancer patients and these little children at St. Jude ChildCare have really stolen my heart today.
“Their resilience and positivity sets an example for all of us to never give up and to keep spreading love and smiles along the way. I am thankful for the time I could spend with them and pray for their speedy recovery.”
Yuvraj was diagnosed with cancer soon after the ICC World Cup 2011. Since he successfully defeated cancer, his main aim has been to help the cancer patients using his celebrity status and stardom as well as spread awareness about the disease via his foundation, YouWeCan.
