As the United Arab Emirates (UAE) pitches are slowish and favours the spin bowling, Sunil Gavaskar has picked Yuzvendra Chahal as the match-winner for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.
The leg spinner Chahal is the lynchpin of the RCB and is a go-to man for captain Virat Kohli. He would surely be more lethal in the UAE as the conditions favour his bowling. In the last IPL, he snared 18 wickets in 14 matches although RCB ended at the bottom of the points table.

IPL 2020: Yuzvendra Chahal Will Be Match-Winner for Royal Challengers Bangalore: Sunil Gavaskar
In a recent column for Sportstar, former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar placed his bet on Yuzvendra Chahal to be the upcoming match-winner for RCB on slow pitches of UAE.
Gavaskar also discussed the struggle of the Royals even though they are the best team on paper. He believes that after two batting mainstay Virat Kohli and AB de Villers fail, there is no other player in the RCB squad to take responsibility to take the team across the line.
“Any team that has Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers should never be short of runs. The problem is when these two failed, then the others haven’t put their hands up,” Gavaskar wrote in the column.
RCB in IPL 2020:

RCB has not won the IPL title even once since it’s inception although they have three times reached the grand finale of the tournament. Their death bowling has always been the problem but now they have Adam Zampa in the playing XI.
The Australian spinner along with Yuzvendra Chahal will give hard time to opposition in the UAE. He comes to the tournament after having an outstanding limited over series against England.
In the batting department, Aaron Finch, Australian captain, will join the team for this season. However, the opening batsman’s position in the team is unsure with RCB already having options for openers.
Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore will play the first match of the tournament against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 21st September as the IPL 2020 is set to begin from 19th September.
