Yuzvendra Chahal, one of the most active cricketers on social media has often enjoyed banters with his teammates on Instagram. He was pretty much active on social media during his time away from the game and continues to use different platforms as the players are spending much time in isolation in UAE. He keeps the entertainment factor intact in every post.
On Friday, he trolled RCB’s Director of Cricket, Mike Hesson, who denied him the opening position. He shared a photo of locking Hesson in ‘Full Nelson’ during the net session. Interestingly, RCB is likely to have a new opening combination in IPL 2020 as Virat Kohli is expected to open the proceedings with Devdutt Padikkal. The other contenders for the opening slot are Parthiv Patel and AB De Villiers.

Yuzvendra Chahal Had 100 Wickets But Scored Only 21 Runs In 84 Matches For RCB
Yuzvendra Chahal, who had joined Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2014, has only faced 48 balls in IPL so far. He has scored 21 runs in 84 matches and has the highest score of 4*. He hasn’t scored even one boundary in the league.

The leader of RCB’s spin attack, Yuzvendra Chahal is their highest wicket-taker and has exactly 100 wickets to his name. The franchise released him ahead of IPL 2018 auction but used their Right to Match (RTM) card to retain his services. He averages only 23.18 while bowling, which is quite extraordinary.
Yuzvendra Chahal May Be Assisted By Australian Adam Zampa Who Was A Late Inclusion But May Find It Difficult To Find A Place In Starting XI
Yuzvendra Chahal will be assisted by Adam Zampa, Washington Sundar, and Pawan Negi during the season. Adam Zampa might find it difficult to break into playing XI at least for the first few matches. As per the rules, a team can only have four overseas players in their playing XI. Besides them, England all-rounder spinner Moeen Ali and Bengal spinner Shahbaz Ahmed are also present but may not feature in the crucial matches.
Spinner Adam Zampa of Australia was a late inclusion in place of pacer Kane Richardson who opted out from IPL 2020. Adam Zampa had previously played for defunct Rising Pune Supergiants and picked 19 wickets from 11 matches in 2016 and 2017 averaging a meager 14.63.

RCB will kick off their campaign against David Warner-led Sunrisers Hyderabad on September 21. They will take on KL Rahul-led Kings XI Punjab in their second tie of the season. The RCB’s players have been training in Dubai for over a week now and surely, the team management would have finalized their likely playing XI for the season.
