Zaheer taught me how to bowl against international players says Dominic Joseph
Even though Zaheer Khan is not directly playing in the Indian Premier League so far, he is still finding ways to affect his team’s success, according to one of Delhi Daredevils’ pace bowlers, Dominic Joseph.
Dominic Joseph has come out to say that Zaheer Khan was of great value to him as a teacher, instructing him how to face off the best batsmen in the league.
The jump from playing against local batsmen to playing against international batsmen is a big one, he says. Zaheer Khan gave him tips to observe small details about the batsmen in the games, telling him how to bowl to them.
He also says that he wishes to thank Gary Kirsten for providing him with the opportunity to play in the Indian Premier League.
Kirsten scouted the youngster in his Ranji performances and then later approached him to play in the Premier League outfit.
Delhi still have not won a game in the Premier league so far, but Dominic is sure that once the win comes, they will be on a roll as confidence will be high, and this will motivate them to win more games.
He also says that playing in T20 as a bowler, it is all about using more and more variations.
