The Chelsea defender joined the Cherries on a season long loan at the start of the season but Antonio Conte cut it short to add some numbers to his squad. However, Eddie Howe was convinced that Ake is a long term solution and made a bid for the star, which was rejected by Chelsea. They were interested in making a fresh bid but never did.
