The draw for the 2014-15 UEFA Champions League took place in Monaco. The 32 teams in the fray were put into four pots according to the seeding were divided into eight groups with four teams each. Spanish giants who won their tenth Champions League last year will go into this year’s edition as the defending Champions. The 32 teams will play league matches and the top two from each group will make it to the round of 16 which will be held in a home and away basis. The teams will get filtered and the top two teams will qualify for the Finals which will take place at Berlin.

This is how the teams are put into the pots. No two teams from the same pot will be in the same group and no two teams from the same country will be in the same group either.
Iker Casillas, Fernando Hierro, Manolas Sanchis and Franscico Gento took part in the draw and picked the teams from each pot.
Group A: Atletico de Madrid– Juventus– Olympiacos– Malmo.
Group B: Real Madrid– FC Basel– Liverpool– Ludogorets.
Group C: Benfica– Zenit st Petersburg– Bayer Leverkusen– Monaco.
Group D: Arsenal FC– Borussia Dortmund– Galatasray– Anderlecht.
Group E: FC Bayern Munich– Manchester City– CSKA Moscow– AS Roma .
Group F: FC Barcelona– Paris st. Germain– Ajax– Apoel.
Group G: Chelsea FC– Schalke 04– Sporting Lisbon– Maribor.
Group H: FC Porto– Shakhtar Donetsk– Athletic Bilbao– Bate Borisov.
Group D is the Group of death with Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Galatasray and Anderlecht in it.
