Australia will be hoping for some miracle when they take on Peru in their final group game with an eye on the knockouts.
For the Socceroos to qualify, they must beat Peru and hope Denmark lose by two goals or more to France to overturn the goal difference between them.
Australia are three points behind Denmark who sit a further two adrift of Group C leaders France. With Denmark needing just a draw, Australia would be hoping the Les Bleus do them some favour by beating Denmark heavily while they look to get the better of Peru.
Australia, however, will have their task cut against Peru. They are yet to score from open play in the tournament so far. Both of Australia’s goals in Russia have come from Mile Jedinak penalties. Goal difference might decide the second team in the group and Australia will be keen to put up an improved show against Peru.
On the other hand, the South Americans will be desperate to give their fans something to cheer about. They are the best supported nation in Russia. Peru have not been at a World Cup since 1982 and could not have asked for a better support from the fans. However, the 25,000 travelling fans could only see their team getting eliminated after two games. Peru are yet to score in this competition. But that does not mean they performed poorly in both the games.

They have played some good attacking football and have had 27 shots so far at this World Cup but are yet to score. They will be looking to break the duck in their final game of the competition.

Sportzwiki brings you all you need to know ahead of the clash between the two sides.
Venue and time:
Australia and Peru will lock horns at the Fisht Stadium, Sochi. The action will begin at 7:30 PM IST on Tuesday.
Players to look out for:
Australia – Daniel Arzani
The 19-year old is the youngest player at the tournament and the first teenager to represent Australia at a World Cup. Highly-rated and currently linked to Manchester City, Arzani has come on in both opening games and is one of the most talked about players in Australia. He will be looking to put up an impressive show to further enhance his reputation.

Peru – Andre Carrillo
With Jefferson Farfan not fully fit and Paolo Guerrero not looking in his best form, Benfica winger Carrillo is Peru’s best bet to end their goal-duck in Russia.
