2018 FIFA World Cup, Match 7: Denmark vs Peru - Preview 1

The third and last game of Saturday sees Peru taking on Denmark. The European country has been tipped to advance ahead of the group stage behind France. However, they face a tricky test in the form of Peru.

Both teams qualified for the World Cup via the play-off. Christian Eriksen led Denmark’s qualification campaign and scored a hat-trick in their second-leg victory against Republic of Ireland to advance. Denmark, however, looked unimpressive in their preparation for the showpiece event. They managed two goalless draws against Chile and Sweden.

On the other hand, Peru, who last played in a World Cup in 1982, made it to Russia with a 2-0 aggregate win over New Zealand. The South Americans are coming into the match on good form, following friendly victories over Iceland, Scotland and Saudi Arabia.
