Atletico Madrid signed Thomas Lemar for a fee of €65 million, making him the most expensive player of all time in club’s history.
Though. Lemar couldn’t feature much in the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia; the midfielder had proved himself at Monaco.
Lemar had played 97 matches for Monaco and had some serious experience in Ligue 1. The winger had scored 18 goals and had 21 assists under his belt.
With the arrival of Lemar during the 2018 summer transfer window, Atletico Madrid will be looking to go neck to neck with Real Madrid and Barcelona once again for the La Liga title.
