Exequiel Palacios, the midfielder who was part of the Argentina team which won the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and his spouse Yesica Frias have separated. Frais had stated on her Instagram account that she and Palacios had split amicably. Later, she revealed some scandalous stories of the marriage between her and the world-champion football player for the Argentina National Team.
The 24-year-old midfielder moved from Argentina’s famous club River Plate to Bayer Leverkusen in the winter of 2020. He has since made 78 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit, scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists. He was also a squad member of Argentina’s Copa America winning team led by PSG superstar Lionel Messi.
Frias reveals bizarre details about her split from the Argentina midfielder
Yesica Frias had announced the split from Exequiel Palacios on her Instagram account. She responded when her fans inquired about the couple’s breakup. The ex-partner said:
“Because he showed me what he really is. I was with him at his worst and he let go of my hand at mine.”
Frias was in Qatar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup to support Palacios, as Argentina won the competition for a third time under the leadership of Messi. The midfielder was at River Plate when the couple first started dating in 2019. A follower on Instagram questioned Frias about if Palacios had lost himself while competing for the prestigious award in the Middle East:
“Do you think that now, because he was a World Cup winner, he believed it and forgot who he is?”
Frias replied:
“You said it.”
Another asked:
“To think that you left your life… your family, for him, and that’s how he thanks”
Frias answered:
“Did you see? They are like that.”
On her relationship with the Bayer Leverkusen star’s family, Frias responded emphatically:
“Better not even ask.”
For the couple, adjusting to life in Germany did not go well. In order to illustrate the challenges, Frias first acknowledged her discomfort:
“The first three months I had a very bad time. I was crying. I wanted to leave. I would grab the suitcase. I would go. I would stay. I would go. I would stay. He wanted me to go. I didn’t feel comfortable.
“We came to a hotel, we stayed in a hotel for three months. He didn’t play. He had a back injury and couldn’t play… I cried alone, I didn’t want him to see me cry.”
This is not the first time Palacios’ romantic life has drawn unwanted attention from the media. In 2018, Oh My Football asserted that Palacios was dating Instagram model Sol Perez. Yet around the same time, the midfielder also began dating aspiring singer-actress Juliana Orellano.
When Perez and Orellano learned that they were both dating the Argentina international, they swiftly broke up with Palacios. In August of same year, it was also revealed that Palacios was dating manicurist Karen Gramajo. Four years have passed since they first started dating.
