Morgan Schneiderlin sealed his £25m move to Manchester United earlier in the summer and has been a key figure in Louis Van Gaal’s plans ever since. the 26-year old midfielder is regarded as one of the quietst personality in the game and according to the French star, he quite enjoys being the unsung hero for Manchester United.
Speaking with French media on the International duty, Schneiderlin said: “Yeah, I do, because I’m a team player. I don’t play for chasing praise from anyone. Of course, you have to play as well as you can but I don’t play to have a good rating in the newspaper or anything like that. I just play to win games and give my team the best possibilities.”
Van Gaal likes to use Schneiderlin in his 4-2-3-1 formation with the Frenchman being the key man from midfield. He is United’s most agile midfield player as Bastian Schweinsteiger and Michael Carrick being elder statesmen. If United are to win anything this season, one belives Schneiderlin AKA the unsung hero for the club will be a key figure.
Van Gaal has been linked with key players in the upcoming transfer windows, however, with Schneiderlin being 26-years old, one expects him to be a key figure in the next transition phase at Old Trafford under Louis Van Gaal and the manager following the Dutchman.
