  1. Paul Pogba (Juventus to Manchester City; £89m):

The story of the summer, Manchester United’s lost hero Paul Pogba signed for the club 4 years after being rejected by the then manager Sir Alex Ferguson. Since then, the French international made a name for himself as one of the best midfielders in the game at the moment playing for the Italian giants at Turin. However, Jose Mourinho, the new manager at Old Trafford was desperate for his signature to add a midfielder to a weak United squad and was made to pay a world record fee of £89m surpassing Gareth Bale’s record to land him this summer. Pogba seems to have adjusted the Premier League and will be a huge asset for the Red Devils this season. He is not only the most expensive player this summer but also the most expensive player in the history of football atleast till next summer.
