The first leg ended in a 1-0 victory for Mourinho’s side with United’s star Roy Keane shown a red card in the game. Inter’s Vitor Baia had a role to play in the sending-off and then United manager Alex Ferguson was furious in the post-match press conference diving into the referees.
But Mourinho, who took a victory from the game was calm and said, ‘I understand why he is a bit emotional. He has some of the top players in the world and they should be doing a lot better than that.
