They finished 8th in the points table and this led to the manager being sacked after just a year at the club. Mourinho, who failed to capture any silverware that season was quick to sympathize with the Red Devils.
After Moyes was sacked, Mourinho said, ‘I feel sorry for them, I never enjoy when somebody is having some problems like they have but United is United.’
