Possibly too expensive for Chelsea, who were priced out of a move in the most recent transfer window, but Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly could be a terrific buy for the Blues.
The Senegal international has been immense in Serie A in recent times, and appeared to be Conte’s top target for much of the summer, though ultimately Chelsea were put off by his price tag of close to £60million.
That’s a huge amount to play for a defender, but the club should possibly try a swap deal to bring his fee down, as they will surely eventually miss out on this star to one of their rivals, with Koulibaly looking ideally suited to the demands of English football.
