Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal were finally back to winning ways as they managed to put in a five-star performance in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup against Lincoln City at the weekend.
However, their losses against Liverpool and Bayern Munich in the last couple of weeks have seen them drop out of the Champions League and also lose some ground at the top of the table in the domestic league.
Arsenal are currently in the 5th place, 5 points off Liverpool in 4th and though they have a decent chance of progressing to the next round of the FA Cup, they have to turn things around quickly to qualify for the Europe’s elite competition next season.
The manager spent a decent amount of money on the squad at the start of the season on a variety of players but just Shkodran Mustafi has been able to cement a place in the starting XI at the club this season.
Granit Xhaka has been a bit erratic but decent but one player who is yet to earn the faith of the manager is Spanish striker Lucas Perez.

Moving to Arsenal after a 17 goals season in the La Liga at the start of the season, the 28-year old striker was expected to lead the attack on the side this season but he has not been able to get used to the conditions in England leaving Arsenal still in search of a top class striker.
Earlier in the week, reports from Goal suggested that the player is unhappy with his time at the Emirates and is ready for an exit in the summer.
Perez has made just 2 Premier League starts this campaign but has 7 goals and 5 assists in all competitions for the English outfit. He was the star player for Deportivo la Coruna in the previous season and it is understood that he is growing frustrated at the lack of playing time at the Emirates.

And the Mirror has today reported that Italian outfit AC Milan are ready to make a swoop for him in the summer.
Wenger is yet again in the search of a genuine goal scorer this summer and is set to spend big so Arsenal might not think twice about cutting their losses on the Spaniard at the end of the season.
The report claims that Lucas Perez is eyeing a place in the national side for Spain in the upcoming world cup and is convinced that he will not be able to make it there playing for Arsenal. So a move this summer could be on the cards.
But do you think Lucas Perez will leave Arsenal just a year after signing for them?
