Adrien Rabiot did not sign a contract extension with Paris Saint Germain when his contract ended this season.

Juventus sign another bargain as they bring Adrien Rabiot to Turin for free. The 24 year old was stopped being picked up by Thomas Tuchel (PSG Coach) since December 2018, after he had made it clear he would leave PSG after his contract expires. Rabiot’s mother confirmed before his medical with Juventus, that PSG had not even try to give him a contract extension since abandoning him from the team in December.

Rabiot’s PSG contract expired on 30th June, and Juventus announced his signing on 1st July.  The French midfielder signed a 5 year contract with the Bianconeri and will reportedly earn upto €7 million a season along with a signing bonus of €10 million. The Italian giants were linked with a move for Rabiot from a long time, and they get their man at a best possible deal for the club.

The French mifielder came from the PSG youth academy and played 227 games for the PSG first team scoring 24 times and providing 17 assists.

Rabiot is Juve’s second free signing of this summer with Arsenal midfielder, Aaron Ramsey being announced in February. The Old lady only lacked depth in midfield last season, and they look to have filled the void by the signing of Rabiot and Ramsey. Juve have also signed left back Luca Pellegrini from AS Roma in this transfer window and are also heavily linked with a move for 19 year old, Ajax centre back, De Ligt.

Juventus have always been one of the smartest clubs to pull out big signings on a bargain. Some great free transfers by Juve in the past are:

Dani Alves from F.C Barcelona

Fabio Cannavaro from Real Madrid C.F

Andrea Pirlo from AC Milan

Emre Can from Liverpool

Sami Khedira from Real Madrid C.F

Paul Pogba from Manchester United

Fernando Llorente from Athletic Bilbao

Goalkeeper Neto from Fiorentina
