As Juventus exit looms over Adrien Rabiot, his mother who also happens to be his agent is trying to seal a PSG return for him than a move to Liverpool.

Rabiot joined Juventus back in 2019 as a free agent, but has found it difficult to cement his place at the club. Further on, reports of Rabiot unable to settle in Italy are also cited a reason for his potential exit.

The midfielder has not been included in the pre-season squad of Juventus due to ‘personal reasons’, but reports are rife that he will take this time to sort out his future.

A move back to France is preferred by both Rabiot and his mother, with Lyon having already inquired for the attacking midfielder. However, PSG is the only way back to France is the stance of the mother-son duo per  Mondo Bianconero.

Adrien Rabiot has appeared on the radar of Liverpool for the second time, with the Reds registering their interest in him last summer as well.

Jurgen Klopp is the man at Liverpool who admires Rabiot’s versatility, and was even ready to part ways with Roberto Firmino or Naby Keita to bring in the Frenchman.

According to multiple reports, Liverpool were offering Firmino or Keita to Juventus in a swap deal with Rabiot. Juventus, who were interested in Firmino, however did not approve such a deal.

The midfielder meanwhile, himself has spoken up about his future with keeping in mind the World Cup which will take place later this year. “I have not talked about it (an exit) with the club,” said Rabiot.

“I try to stay focused on the national team and let my agent do it. I am under contract with Juve and nothing indicates to me that I will leave. As for the World Cup , it would have nothing to do with my decision. It wouldn’t affect my choice.”

On the other hand, Rabiot’s mother feels a transfer back to the French capital would be in the best interests of her son. The 27-year-old made 227 appearances for PSG, bagging 24 goals and 14 assists.

At Juventus however, Rabiot has managed to produce only 6 goals and as many assists in 129 games. Rabiot’s Juventus contract expires next summer, and a possibility of him full-filling it is not ruled out yet.
