Arsenal set to launch a SENSATIONAL bid for La Liga star
Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak doesn’t rule out a move to Arsenal as he admitted that he has already heard about the interest from the North London club.
The Gunners have long been huge admirers of the Polish star, but didn’t make any concrete move for the player so far.
The 25-year-old midfielder has now revealed that all the matters relating to any possible transfer will be handled out by his agent which will leave him free to concentrate on his own football for current club Sevilla. Wenger is reported to be a big admirer of Krychowiak, but will have to splash out 32.2 million pounds to land him after the La Liga side agreed a new contract with an increased release clause back in November.
“The Premier League? Some say it’s the best in the world, other people think that’s La Liga,” Krychowiak told London Evening Standard.
“I’ve heard about Arsenal, but I leave it to my agent. I trust him and he’s the one who deals with that kind of the stuff. I can’t think about things like that. I have to keep my mind free of any distraction and just focus on doing my job for Sevilla.”
The French boss has insisted that Arsenal will be very active this January transfer market and rope in replacement for the injured Francis Coquelin in defensive midfield role and have been linked with a number of midfielders. FC Basel’s Mohamed Elneny is said to be close to completing a sensational move to the Emirates, with his current club Basel already admitting that the expected move might materialise in 2-3 days.
However, Krychowiak will prove to be a more effective candidate compared to the Egyptian, but will cost more than the £7m fee Arsenal are said to be paying for Elneny. The 25-year0old Polish star, who was an important member in Sevilla’s Europa League winning campaign for a record fourth time last term, has now revealed that there are still a few areas he can improve to become one of the best midfielders in the world.
“I definitely want to be a better player, but it will only happen when the team does well.
“There are a million things I can still improve. The moment I start thinking that I’m a finished product as a player will be the moment I start regressing. I believe I can be a much better, more complete player at the end of 2016,” the Sevilla midfielder clarified.
