In a desperate attempt to end their defensive woes as soon as possible, Chelsea are looking at all possible options to land a world class centre-back at Stamford Bridge. Just a day ago, reports emerged that the Blues are preparing a world record bid of £60million for Juventus ace Leonardo Bonucci and now reports are suggesting that the English outfit is linked with Paris St-Germain star Thiago Silva.
Italian news outlet Tutto Mercato Web had reported that the club was in contact with the French champions about signing the Brazil international. However, the defender’s agent, Paulo Tonietto, has made an interesting claim about his client’s position at the club. Tonietto said that Silva is still unsure of signing new a contract extension with the club and will decide about his future in December. He also hinted that the move can take place by saying that everything is possible.

“Chelsea are a big club. And the English league is the best in the world,” Tonietto told Sport Witness.
“We’re not negotiating a new contract, let’s see what happens before December.
“Thiago’s deal ends on June 30th, 2017 if PSG doesn’t qualify for the Champions League.
“Everything is possible in football.”
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has been desperate to sign a world-class defender to end Chelsea’s defensive woes. The Blues chased several centre-backs, most notably Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly and Milan’s Alessio Romagnoli, but failed to strike a deal. With transfer deadline coming close, the English giants signed David Luiz for £30 million, just two years after he left Stamford Bridge for the French capital in a record £50 million deal.
When asked if David Luiz’s return to Chelsea from PSG can play a big role in the deal,Tonietto said: “I don’t know about this, I know they’re great friends.”
Despite signing Luiz and Marcus Alonso, Chelsea’s back line has not shown any sign of improvement and have kept clean sheet only twice in eight matches in all competitions so far.
