AC Milan are plotting a huge £45million summer move for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez.
The Sunday Express report that the Serie A side, who are in talks over a big money takeover, are prepared to offer the Chilean a three-year deal.
It is claimed that Milan chiefs are weighing up a £45million offer for the forward, who will only have 12 months left on his Arsenal contract come the summer.
Arsenal are reluctant to pay his £250,000-a-week wages demands and it is reported that Milan will break the bank to secure the 28-year-old’s services.
With the Gunners said to be stalling on a £180,000-a-week offer, Milan are increasingly hopeful that they will be able to talk to Sanchez in the summer.
Meanwhile, two goals from Alexis Sanchez got Arsenal back on track as they moved up to third in the Premier League table with a hard-fought 2-0 success at home to Hull.
After two consecutive defeats, and against visitors stuck deep in relegation trouble despite last week’s win over Liverpool, Arsenal had to battle for their three points in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off.
Sanchez’s first-half opener was controversial, going in from close range off his hand after a ricochet off Hull goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic.
The Chilean forward then doubled the scoring from the penalty spot in stoppage time, after Tigers’ midfielder Sam Clucas was sent off for handball on the goalline.
Manchester United kept in touch with Arsenal and the rest of the pack chasing runaway leaders Chelsea thanks to a 2-0 win over Watford at Old Trafford.
