Ajax winger Antony’s agent has dropped a massive transfer hint amidst the player’s ongoing negotiations with Manchester United. The Red Devils are pushing to close a deal with Ajax, who are reluctant from selling their prized asset. However, Antony too has made his wish clear of moving to Old Trafford which has resulted in huge boost for United.
United’s new manager Erik ten Hag direly wants his former associate from Ajax, Antony and has asked the club to go all out for the Brazilian. The winger too put efforts as he missed Ajax’s clash against Sparta Rotterdam as his representatives held talks with United. Now, amidst the ongoing negotiations, his agent has shared a cryptic message about his future.

According to multiple reports, Manchester United had their opening bid of €80 million for Antony rejected by Ajax. The Dutch side has already lost its crucial players this summer, and manager Alfred Schreuder does not want any more sales. But United are expected to launch another bid in the range of €90-€100 million to lure Ajax into selling the 22-year-old.
Moreover, the Red Devils have agreed personal terms as well with Antony who his now waiting for the two sides to finalize a deal. He has reportedly agreed upon a five-year contract, with his wages yet to be disclosed. Antony also confessed last week stating: “No. To be honest, I can’t [guarantee staying at Ajax]. I can say that I want to make the right decision together with my family, agents and Ajax. God decides my future in the end.”
His agent now shared a picture on Instagram, where he and his client Antony were enjoying Manchester United’s showdown with Liverpool at Old Trafford. The Red Devils delivered a robust performance as they shocked Liverpool with a 2-1 win. Antony watched the clash with his agent at home, photos of which the latter put on the social media site.
Ten Hag is keen on a reunion with Antony who delivered dazzling displays during his regime at the Ajax. The winger scored 22 goals and assisted 20 in 79 appearances under Ten Hag, winning two Eredivisie titles and a Dutch Cup. He started this season on a brilliant note as well, chipping in with 2 assists and a goal in 2 league games.
Earlier, he also talked about his former boss Ten Hag turning things around at United, after they two of their first two Premier League outings against Brighton and Brentford. Speaking to the The Telegraaf, he had said: “I will always cheer for Erik ten Hag. It makes me sad that I haven’t been able to do this for him yet. But knowing Erik.. I am sure he will turn things around. Manchester United will become a better club with him in charge.”
The Brazilian is now getting closer to join his former boss in England to help his bring a change in fortunes. This week will certainly be crucial for United to close a deal with Ajax for Antony as the transfer deadline of September 1 is fast approaching.
