Ander Herrera beat Ashley Young and Chris Smalling to be been named Manchester United player of the month for April. This is Herrera’s second such individual honor after the Spaniard was named Player of the month in February.
Herrera had a productive month of April where he appeared in all the 4 matches and scored 2 goals in United’s 3-1 win over Aston Villa. His performances have earned huge praises from former United midfield greats Paul Scholes and Bryan Robson.
Scholes hailed Herrera as the best Van Gaal signing in the summer and thinks that he will only go on to get better at Manchester United. Bryan Robson shared Scholes’s views and explained why Herrera is fast becoming one of the most loved layers at Old Trafford.
Robson said: “A big part of our recent improvement is down to Herrera’s form,”
“I’ve liked him since he arrived because he has loads of energy, closes people down and is always on the move, making space for himself.
“He’s also got the timing to get into the box and score goals – which is what he’s doing at the moment – and United fans have always loved midfield players who are capable of that.
“I think he’s going to be a really good player here for a good few years.”
Ander Herrera has started on the right note at his new club scoring 7 goals this season. With regular starts in coming season, United fans can expect to see the best from the Spanish midfielder.
