Antonio Conte has been sacked as it has been widely reported that English football club Chelsea has parted ways with the ace manager.
Conte guided the Blues to a memorable Premier League title win in his first season.
Under Conte, Chelsea won 13 Premier League games in a row. And, amassing 30 league wins it eventually came to the end of the campaign. Prior to Manchester City’s ‘Centurions’ side last term, they both are proud owing to the Premier League records.
The manager got his hands on the Premier League trophy, last May, but things would go fast downhill for the Italian. He famously dismissed Diego Costa by simply through a text message, freezing the Spaniard out before he was subsequently sold to Atletico Madrid.
He missed out on his top transfer targets and continually criticised the board in the public eye for their failures. His negativity in his press conferences found its way onto the pitch. And, Chelsea failed to qualify for the Champions League.
Moreover. Conte has now paid the price for his failures, with the club confirming his departure.
The former Juventus manager guided the Blues to a memorable Premier League title win in his first season. His side finished on 93 points after an incredible run of consistency.
However, things started to fall apart in the next season for Antonio Conte.
Chelsea could only qualify for the Europa League and finished a whopping 30 points. It came behind Pep Guardiola’s record-breaking Manchester City (MC).
He made it two trophies from two as his team beat Manchester United (MU) in the FA Cup final but it wasn’t enough to save his job.
Maurizio Sarri has been in the frame for the job at Stamford Bridge a while now and the announcement of him as manager would appear to be imminent.
