Arsenal 2-0 Crystal Palace: Twitter Reacts As Gunners Move Third In The Table 1

A wonder strike from Olivier Giroud and a header from Alex Iwobi helped Arsenal to register a comfortable 2-0 victory over a lacklustre Crystal Palace side.

After dominating the proceedings early on, the Gunners deservedly took the lead through Giroud’s outrageous scorpion kick. The France international started the attack near the Arsenal penalty box with a lovely flick on halfway that launched a counter-attack.

Alexis Sanchez, who was charging in from the left wing delivered a cross but it was slightly behind Giroud.

However, the French striker left everyone shell-shocked by flicking the ball into the top corner. Ten minutes after the break, Iwobi put the game to the bed after capitalising on a defensive error from the Eagles.

Petr Cech then made a couple of good saves to deny Christian Benteke and Yohan Cabaye as the Gunners held on to their to leapfrog Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur to the third place.
