Arsenal have started their season with a disappointing defeat against West Ham United. Steven Bilic’s side have demolished Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates.

Arsenal could not manage to start the League campaign on a winning note after only a week of beating arch rivals Chelsea to win the FA Community Shield.

Arsenal started the match witha very strong line up.

The line up was- Cech, Debuchy, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Coquelin, Ramsey, Chamberlein, Ozil, Cazorla, Giroud.

West Ham line up was- Adrian, Tomkins, Reid, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Reece Oxford, Kouyate, Noble, Payet, Zarate, Difra Sakho.

16 year old Reece Oxford started for the Hammers along with two other debutants Payet and Ogbona.

Petr Cech did not have a Premier League debut with Asrenal to remember as he was the guilty party for Arsenal when West Ham scored their first goal in the 43rd minute. Newcomer Dimitri Payet, who was the assist leader in Ligue 1 with Marseille last season, registered a debut assist from a free kick outside of the box which was headed in by Cheikhou Kouyaté. Cech came out of the line and failed to clear the ball and questions could easily be raised about the goalkeepeing of the 33 year old iconic goalkeeper.

West Ham doubled the lead on the 57th minute with Zarate scoring from outside of the box. Zarate dispossessed Oxlade-Chamberlain on the edge of the area and his early shot caught Cech off-guard and skids into the corner. Cech should have done better this time also and Arsenal fans will be concerned about their new signing.

Arsene Wenger made some attacking changes with Theo Walcott replacing Coquelin in the 58th minute and Alexis Sanchez replacing Debuchy on the 67 minutes but nothing worked in favour of the Gunners.

West Ham fans would be very happy with their new manager with the impressive start in the league after a disappointing exit from Europa League failing to win the qualifier match.

Payet and Oxford wer the best players in the pitch today. Chamberlain and Ramsey were the only players who did decent for the Gunners but the heroics from West Ham players were amazing to earn them a huge 3 points.
