According to reports in Ukraine Arsenal have reached an agreement with Dynamo Kiev to sign winger Andriy Yarmoleno for a £28million transfer fee.
Yarmolenko has been consistently linked with a move to the Premier League with Chelsea, Spurs and Everton believed to be interested in signing the winger however, it appears that Arsenal have beaten their Premier League rivals to the signing of Yarmolenko but there is a catch.
Ukranian news outlet sport.ua are reporting that the Gunners have reached an agreement with Kiev for the highly-rated winger but he will not be joining Arsenal until the summer.
It is understood that Kiev president Ihor Surkis is desperate to keep hold of Yarmolenko for the remainder of the season.
Everton were reportedly prepared to spend £21m to bring the 26-year-old to Goodison Park in January while Dortmund were also preparing a bid for the winger but it looks like Arsenal have beaten the Toffees to the signing.
Yarmolenko moved to the NSC Olimpiyskiy in 2007 and has attracted interest from a number of Europe’s top clubs thanks to a string of impressive displays for the Ukrainian outfit.
The winger who has bagged 76 league goals in 187 appearances for Sergei Rebrov’s side was personally scouted by Jose Mourinho once upon a time and Arsene Wenger will be thrilled to sign the winger.
Dynamo boss Rebrov is desperate to retain Yarmolenko’s services but has admitted that his future lies in the hands of the club’s president.
Arsenal have a great chance of winning the Premier League title this season and would have been better off signing Yarmolenko immediately but getting him in the summer isn’t too bad either as Joel Campbell and Theo Walcott have been doing a decent enough job for the Gunners on the wings.
