In what comes as great news for Gunner fans across the US, the official website of the London franchise revealed that the club will tour the United States before the start of the next season.
Arsenal football club announced earlier that they will head to the US to play two friendly games against MLS franchises in the summer.
On this tour, Arsenal will start with a game against the 2016 MLS All stars, a team that has previously included the likes of Thierry Henry and Ljungberg.
This season, the likes of Kaka, Didier Drogba, Sebastian Giovinco and Bradley Wright Phillips are all going to be a port of the All stars team in the MLS.
Arsène Wenger’s side take on the 2016 MLS AT&T All-Stars at Avaya Stadium in San Jose on Thursday, July 28 at 9pm (ET).
The Gunners will then go on to play Chivas de Guadalajara at the StubHub Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, July 31 (kick-off time to be announced at a later date).
“We have tremendous support across America and enjoyed our visit to New York in the summer of 2014 when we played the New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena. We look forward to giving our US fans the chance to see the team play live.”
Arsenal do not travel too much in the pre season this year and will be out of Europe for only theses two games in the US.
It makes these games all the more important as Wenger will not have too many chances to have his players settled into the team especially as most of them will be returning from an exhausting EURO16 in France.
However, these games are sure to be a spectacle for each and every Arsenal fan in the States who can only dream of watching their stars in action.
It is a dream come true for Gooners all across the United States and hopefully the London franchise come up with more such trip to other countries out of Europe.
