Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has said that the Gunners can complete a sensational deal for bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur ace Harry Kane,

The future of Kane at White Hart Lane is in jeopardy as he has currently stalled over a new contract with the club over a new deal. English news outlet The Sun has claimed that the England international is demanding an improved deal with an increased wage but the club officials are not willing to accept his demands.

Kane, whose current contract with the Spurs expires in 2020, currently earns £60,000 per week which is less than new arrival Moussa Sissoko who earns £95,000 a week. After a sensational last season in which he won the golden boot, Kane is reportedly unhappy with his wage and some Premier League biggies are trying to cash in on the opportunity.

The Sun has reported that Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal are eyeing the forward but Parlour believes that his former club has an edge in the race due to Kane’s history with the club. The Spurs star was in Arsenal’s academy from 2002 to 2004 and Parlour thinks that the Gunners can re-sign the England striker.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Parlour said: “He does support Arsenal so…,”

“Have you ever seen that picture when we went unbeaten?

“We went on a bus tour in Islington and he had red and white hair. So who knows?”

Arsene Wenger has used Alexis Sanchez up front this season and the Chile international has become Wenger’s first choice as a striker ahead of Oliver Giroud after scoring 6 goals and providing 3 assists. However, his future at the Emirates is still not clear after still not signing a contract extension. He has been linked with Manchester City and Juventus in recent times and if he leaves the club in near future, Kane will undoubtedly be a good replacement.
