Arsenal was possibly the club which let his fans down the most with it’s disappointing transfer signings, in July. Having signed only Petr Cech, the North London club faired badly in the transfer business. Everyone expected the mighty club to sign a few more players, but it never happened. So the hopes of signing players in January, has multiplied. But, Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin had a different opinion as he snubbed off the news of any signings. The defender claimed that the club needs no new signings.

Speaking to the IBTimes UK, he said, “There is a lot of quality in the team and I do not think we need any new players,”

“If someone new comes he will be welcomed but I think we have a very strong squad, with good replacements for every position.

“The players just have to think about the coming games and nothing else.”

The fans are crying out for a new signing but Bellerin’s opinions don’t match with the fanbase. The Gunners have been hit by injury crisis as some of their key players namely Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott, Danny Welbeck and Francis Coquelin are all out. Reports claimed that Arsenal boss Wenger is already looking for Coquelin’s replacement. Also, Wilshere seems to be out for long as reports claim that the lad won’t be able to come back before Christmas indicating a long term injury.

Apart from this, Arsenal was also linked with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Mauro Icardi. The North London club is currently 4th on the Premier League.
