Arsenal fan favourite plays 90 minutes for the first time in 2 years, fans react hilariously 1

In the Saturday’s early kick-off, Bournemouth produced a spirited display to hold Tottenham Hotspur to a 0-0 draw at the Vitality Stadium and continue their good run of Premier League results.

After a tough encounter at Bayer Leverkusen in midweek, it means that Mauricio Pochettino’s side remain the only unbeaten team in the league, but it was also a big game for one Bournemouth player.

Jack Wilshere, on loan at the Cherries from Spurs’ rivals Arsenal, was included in Eddie Howe’s starting XI and the midfielder completed the full 90 minutes of a club match for the first time in two years.

The talented 24-year-old was identified years ago as the future of English football, however, consistent injury problems and lack of playing time at the Emirates Stadium forced him to seek a move away in the summer.

Wilshere was predictably booed by the traveling supporters every time he touched the ball during the game, and while he was at the heart of Bournemouth’s best-attacking moves, his influence was largely limited due to the physical presence of Victor Wanyama.

That said, after a few cameos since his loan switch, the injury-plagued star has finally got through a full game in England’s top flight and, as you can see below, fans took to Twitter to share their opinion – some of which is hilarious:

Before Saturday, the last time he played a full match was against Manchester City way back on 13 September 2014 – that’s an astonishing 771 days.

Next up for Wilshere and Bournemouth is a trip to newly-promoted Middlesbrough next Saturday, and they’ll come up against his parent club Arsenal in just over a month’s time on November 27.
