Arsenal Fans Blast Midfielder For Calling Wayne Rooney The Best He’s Played With 1

Arsenal fans have absolutely savaged Jack Wilshere after the midfielder praised Wayne Rooney for becoming Manchester United’s all-time leading scorer.

Tributes have been pouring in from all quarters ever since the Manchester United skipper scored a stoppage-time free-kick against Stoke City to surpass Bobby Charlton’s 249-goal mark and Wilshere was no different.

The Arsenal midfielder, who is currently on loan at Bournemouth, took to Twitter to praise his England teammate and called him the best player he has played with.

“Unbelievable achievement @WayneRooney. Proper captain and by far the best I have played with. #RoleModel,” Wilshere stated on his social media account.

As expected, the tweet did not go down too well with the Arsenal fans as they blasted the midfielder for the post. Here are some of the best reactions:

Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see whether the midfielder returns to Emirates or not after the season. He has has made 17 appearances for the Cherries this season and is reportedly enjoying life away from the Gunners. Reports are suggesting that the 25-year old, whose contract with the North London outfit expires in 2018, has received a new contract offer from the Gunners but nothing has been heard from the player himself.

On the other hand, Italian news outlet Calciomercato has reported that AC Milan are  still keen to take the England international to San Siro. Wilshere was linked with the Italian giants during the summer before moving for Bournemouth but it has not stopped Milan from taking another shot at signing the Arsenal star. The outlet claimed that with Arsenal focused on handing new deals to Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, whose contracts also run out in 2018, Milan believe there is a window of opportunity to secure the signing of the playmaker.
