In what will come as a huge news for fans connected with the Emirates outfit in London, Arsenal have reportedly earmarked the successor for the most successful manager in their career.
Arsene Wenger has been a long-term servant of the club has recently been under scrutiny for not being able to lift silverware with the club consistently. In his 20 years at the Emirates, the French manager has provided the club with many moments to rejoice but with them now becoming far apart, the board were reportedly already ready for life after Wenger.
The 66-year old has failed to land a major trophy in the last 12 years and though 3 FA Cups in this time reduced the pressure on him, he has not been able to take the club to the next level.
He had a great shot at the Premier League title last season but faltered in the crucial moments and it is understood that the Arsenal board were ready to let go of the manager if he was interested in the English manager’s job which was offered to him before Sam Allardyce took over.
Wenger decided to stay with the Gunners for at least another year and one can’t help but feel that this might be the last season that he will be given a chance to take them to the top of the table and if he cannot, by the end of the season, he may well be on his way out of the club next summer.
And it is now revealed that the Premier League club has already decided on who his successor will be.
In a story run by Daily Star, it is revealed that AFC Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe is most probably the successor for Wenger at the Emirates.

Having helped the Cherries to a second consecutive season in the top-flight the 38-year old has earned himself a name as one of the most exciting young managers in the Premier League.
He got his squad to play some exciting football and it is believed that the hierarchy at the Emirates is convinced that he is the man to shoulder the responsibilities of the club in the post-Wenger era.
It is also revealed that Arsene Wenger is also a fan of the 38-year. Though Wenger may not have a huge role in the appointment of his successor, it is a good thing that the Wenger does not have a problem with Howe taking over the Emirates.
