Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City interested in Serie A youngster
Cagliari teenager Godfred Donsah’s agent has revealed Premier League interest in his client, with Arsenal, Liverpool & Manchester City all reportedly keen.
The 18-year-old, who has been dubbed as the ‘new Michael Essien’, had a breakthrough season with Cagliari, making 21 appearances for the relegated Serie A side.

West Ham were initially linked with Donsah, West Ham chairman David Gold said that the club will bring in five new players. But the Ghana native’s agent has now insisted that there’s interest from the top Premier League sides, although he has no official word received.
Talking to Tuttomercatoweb, he said “Arsenal, City and Liverpool have expressed an interest, but again nothing official.”
“At present, however, say that there has been no official contact.”
Serie A winners Juventus are also rumored to have been impressed with the teenager, but his representative has revealed that he is unware of any such interest.
“I also read the news about Juventus but I must say that I have not talked to Cagliari and Juventus.”
Earlier in February, Cagliari President Thomas Giulini had revealed that both Arsenal and Manchester City were monitoring the Ghanaian, who joined from Palermo in the summer.
“Manchester City are interested, but Arsenal scouts were at the game against Inter to watch him”
“My intention is to keep him for at least one more year. Cagliari need to stay in Serie A so we can continue to help these young players grow.
“It would be beneficial for Donsah’s development to remain at Cagliari for another season,” the President had told Sky Sports.
